Inspector Pletikosić, doubting this theory, asks for help from his friend and former boss, Inspector Tanasijević, who, having left the police, now leads a completely different life. As the disappearance of Novicki represents a serious problem for the state, Prince Pavle orders General Živković to find out as soon as possible what happened to the count.
